Owego Kiwanis to host 1st annual Trivia Night to benefit scholarships for local graduates

The community is invited to participate in the 1st annual Owego Kiwanis Team Trivia Night planned for Friday, March 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Owego Elk’s Lodge located on Front Street in Owego. This event was previously sponsored by the Owego Apalachin Foundation for Excellence in Education.

The Owego Kiwanis Club has volunteered to take over hosting this event since the foundation will soon be dissolving. The goal of the foundation is to help fill the void and raise scholarship funds for Owego graduates.

A team may consist of two to eight members. If you have more than eight people who would like to participate, please consider entering an additional team.

If you cannot put a team together, perhaps you would consider being a team sponsor and Kiwanis would find team members to represent your business or organization.

John Adams, professional emcee, will be the host for the evening. Prizes will be awarded for the winning teams, but the real winners will be the young people in the community.

The entry fee for a business or organization team is $225, which is tax-deductible. They also have a family team category for $125.

For more information on how to register a team, contact Greg Burns, Kiwanis board member, by calling (607) 223-4024 or email to gburns@cantella.com.
