Search Warrant in Broome County results in arrests for Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession

On Jan. 27, 2017 at 5:41 a.m., the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, SORT (Special Operations Response Team), CCSERT (Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team), Troop “C” Uniform Force and Broome County SIU Task Force executed a search warrant at 475 Popple Hill Rd. in the Town of Lisle, Broome County, as a result of an investigation into the sale and manufacturing of methamphetamine.  

According to police, as a result of the search warrant the following evidence was seized; approximately six ounces of methamphetamine oil, two boxes of pseudoephedrine, trace amount of methamphetamine, one

pot meth lab, sulfuric acid, lithium batteries, ammonium nitrate, laboratory equipment, digital scale, packaging materials and cellular telephones. 

Police reported that the following individuals were arrested; Matthew J. Crowningshield, age 31 of 475 Popple Hill Rd., Berkshire, N.Y.; Heather N. Clark, age 37 of 475 Popple Hill Rd., Berkshire, N.Y.; Scott A. Doty, age 36 of 37 Cardinal Way, Endicott, N.Y.; and Andrew G. Kuhr, age 26 of 186 Tiona Rd., Newark Valley, N.Y.

The four defendants were charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, a Class A-II Felony and Unlawful Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony. The defendants were arraigned in the Town of Lisle Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail. 

The Lisle Fire Department, Killawog Fire Department, and Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad assisted CCSERT during the remediation of the hazardous materials.
