Tioga Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention reschedules ‘Nichols Community Talks about Substance Abuse’ panel night

The Tioga Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) Coalition would like to announce the new date for the “Nichols Community Talks about Substance Abuse” panel discussion. It will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church located at 148 Main St. in Nichols, N.Y. Doors will be open at 6:30 p.m.

The event, hosted by the coalition, was rescheduled from Jan. 10 due to hazardous weather conditions.

There will be persons on the panel from the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, the district attorneys office, an affected parent and person in recovery, and Tioga County Mental Hygiene. Trinity-CASA Prevention, STAP, and Mental Hygiene will have information tables and will also be available for questions.

The panel event is the first hosted by the Tioga ASAP Coalition and is an opportunity for people to come ask questions, hear stories, or just listen and get informed about the substance abuse issues facing our county and communities.
