Dear Editor,
First, I’d like to thank Mike Zimmer for his many years as town of Owego Clerk and Tax Receiver. He did a lot of quality work, which included implementing an inventory of all town records and his foresight to having the maps, minute books and other archival documents permanently preserved.
He also served as district director for the New York State Town Clerk’s Association and was the associate treasurer and chairman of the audit committee. On the local level he served as vice-president of the Tioga County Town Clerk’s Association.
Mike has a lot to be proud of and I personally wish him a well-earned retirement.
