Kirkwood Man charged with Weapons Possession

On Tuesday, Dec. 27, New York State Police were called to an apartment at 933 State Route 11 in the town of Kirkwood for a medical emergency. 

Subsequent to assisting with the medical emergency, a 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun and a .40 caliber handgun were discovered. 

Troopers arrested Chandler Z. Hmurcik, age 21, of Kirkwood, for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. 

He was arraigned in the town of Kirkwood Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
