Known for his dislike of Christmas, the Grinch eventually grew his heart; and on Dec. 18 he visited the Candor Fire Station to spread some Christmas cheer.
Organized by volunteer members of the Candor Fire Department, youth were invited for breakfast with the Grinch on Sunday. Santa Claus was also on hand.
The fire department, for a donation, welcomed families to this festive event, complete with fire safety coloring and activity books to occupy the children and safety items, for purchase for your home, such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
The message from the department was for all to have a happy, healthy, and safe Christmas this year.
