On Dec. 8, 2016, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and Troop “C” Uniform Force arrested three subjects for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree after a traffic stop on I-81 northbound in the Town of Kirkwood, Broome County.
The subjects were operating a 2016 Ford F-150 rental vehicle when they were found to be in possession of over 3 pounds of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $250,000.00.
Arrested were David M. Babenzien, age 34 of 198 Fuller Rd., Port Crane, N.Y.; John D. Finnerty, age 38 of 22 Pine Valley Rd., Windsor, N.Y.; and Anthony S. Kosick,
age 26 of 528 Colesville Rd., Binghamton, N.Y.
All three subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (Class A-II Felony). They were arraigned in the Town of Kirkwood Court and subsequently remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
