Jon Brown, a local resident from Spencer, N.Y., took area youth around to different veteran organizations and homes on Veterans Day, to thank those who served. They visited local veteran residents in Spencer, the American Legion in Candor, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Department, and the VFW Post 1371 in Owego.
Accompanying Brown in this effort to thank veterans, were Kira Brown, Brad Blakman, Kabrina Jayne, Kenzie Vargo, Taylor Parkhurs and Malorie Wright. They passed out flags to the veterans, as well as a variety of pies that were donated by Ithaca Walmart. The photos are from their various stops.
