A thank you from Senator Fred Akshar

Dear Editor,

Allow me to begin by saying thank you to your readership. Last week’s victory doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to each of you, the people of the 52nd Senate District.

I am forever grateful and humbled by the overwhelming bi-partisan support I’ve received throughout the past year and two election cycles. It is clear to me that the people of our community want a representative who is approachable, accessible and is willing to listen.

Moving forward, I pledge to everyone in our district that the voice of the people will continue to drive my legislative agenda. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many of you face-to-face over the course of the last year. You talked to me about common sense solutions to issues that we all face every day as citizens. 

I say with a great degree of certainty that sustainable solutions are best found amongst the people in the community and not amongst out-of-touch bureaucrats.

Again, thank you for allowing me the honor of representing you.
