Owego Free Academy (OFA) senior, Lindsay Field, can officially add “world record holder” to her list of accomplishments and resume.

On Oct. 7, Lindsay broke the world record in the dead lift for her age and weight class in a world-sanctioned power lifting event called “100% Raw Powerlifting Federation World Championships” held in Erie, Pa. Field broke the world record of 364 pounds by lifting 369 pounds, which she achieved on her third attempt.

Lindsay opted for a fourth lift to try to break her own new world record. And that she did, succeeding in a lift of 380 pounds.
