Upon further review of the first presidential debate, you cannot spell Trump without rump. His performance was a sad spectacle of just how unfit he is for the office. No amount of facts or his own pathological lying will sway his voters. This is America and we all get to vote. There are no rules about how wisely you should vote.

What happened to the light at the intersection of West Avenue and North Avenue? It takes forever to change over now, even with no traffic on North Avenue.

When the poor don’t pay taxes Trump says they are parasites, when immigrants don’t pay taxes Trump says they are freeloaders / criminals, but when Trump doesn’t pay any taxes he says he is smart! Yes Trump, being a Christian is tough; it isn’t any fun helping the poor is it?

People are saying, “The media was not fair. Trump’s mic and podium were in the wrong places.” That is true. His podium and mic were on the stage of the presidential debate. They should have been set up in his hind parts where his head is.

I am impressed with the majority of submissions to this column from Trump’s deplorables.

The latest reader’s column and drinks was awesome. What fun! The slack jawed yokel has been replaced with the deranged carnival barker. A deplorably fitted suit, red rimmed eyes, the faint smell of BO, hoarsely barking out the love for Trump. We knew it was only a matter of time before beer shot out of someone’s nose. Sadly, that did not happen. There was much mimicking of Trump’s debating sniffling booger nose. Hope someone brings a box of tissues for the next debate. That is if he shows up for the next one. Please make sure they are extra soft and contain aloe. None of those cheap off brand scratchy tissues.

Trump nailed it in the debate last night. Hillary has been in the governmental / public spotlight for 30 years in a position of considerable influence. What has she accomplished? She still bemoans the same problems in this country, the economy, jobs, etc., yet, what has she herself contributed to the solution to these problems? When she ran for the Senate for New York State, she promised 200,000 high paying jobs were going to be created. Know anyone who got one of those jobs? I rest my case, do nothing, accomplish nothing Hillary wants to promise more and continue accomplishing NOTHING that anyone wants.

Trump has it right, Global Warming / Climate change IS a hoax. More than 10 years ago, it was predicted the seas would rise and cover Diego Garcia (island). The reverse is happening. The land area of Diego Garcia is increasing, as are the Polar ice fields, the polar bear population, the ice fields in Antarctica. New York City was supposed to be under water by now. It isn’t! When do people really get upset at being lied to on such a scale?

The late Justice Byron White said, “When you change one Justice, you change the whole Court.” We are now at a time where the Court’s liberals have ascended after the loss of Judge Scalia. Years of the sitting liberal Justices who have struggled to win the big cases find once again the future of the Supreme Court depends on the outcome of Presidential elections and the direction of our laws derived from our Constitution. This election is critical and of immediate impact on the fate of the Court. Judge Scalia’s replacement is second only to the fact that the other changes may begin with a need for replacement of Judge Stephen Breyer at age 78, Anthony Kennedy at 80, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg at 83. If all of them have to be replaced in the coming four years, the next President will have a Supreme Court legacy comparable to that of Richard Nixon, who filled four vacancies in a little more than two years; or Ronald Reagan, who filled four vacancies in seven years, or Dwight Eisenhower, who filled five vacancies in five years. Keeping the Constitution intact should not be subject to interpretation of a judge of liberal bias. The election is as much about that point, our founding Constitution, as it is dependent on electing a Conservative President. The direction of our country will either follow the bent of a conservative nature as was during the three administrations of Republican terms or will continue to turn and bend to what it has become as a result of the terms during Johnson, Kennedy and Obama. The difference of a one size fits all ever-growing centralized government administering presidential regulations via agency oversight rather than a country of laws enacted by legislative voting and legislative oversight. Vote Republican.

The original Presidential Helicopter contract was cancelled because, after the award, the U.S. Navy added so many extras to it that it became unaffordable. It has since been re-awarded and Lockheed Martin has it again. The CSAR contract was found to be rigged for Boeing, cancelled, and re-awarded and now called CRH to Lockheed Martin.

The new OA admin building is there because FEMA agreed it was more cost effective to build a new one. 2) There is not enough space in OES to house the admin staff. Anyone who toured the building at the open house would have known that. 3) There were no local taxes used to build the new buildings. Your State and Federal taxes were not affected. They did not go up because of it and would not have gone down had FEMA and the state not paid. Perhaps you would have preferred to have to pay for the new buildings ourselves. I like not having to pay ourselves. 4) I don’t understand why people keep beating this dead horse and why they are given a platform to do so.

A Troubling History for Dakota Pipeline Company: “Energy Transfer Partners – the conglomerate behind the Dakota Access oil pipeline – is responsible for 29 pipeline safety incidents since 2006, in which 9,555 barrels of hazardous liquids were leaked, according to a new Center analysis of federal data. Those spills resulted in $9.5 million in damage, reports show. The company is attempting to build a pipeline to ship Bakken crude oil from North Dakota to Illinois. Common Core: When seeking information – Respect, Courtesy, Persistence, Patience! What information is important? What part of the educational process is influenced by the NYSED – Questar Assessment that are confidentiality concerns in the contract. Costs? If the multiple choice questions in 2017 are published in five languages, are districts required to provide interpreters? Electronic equipment – initial, upkeep and replacement. Are infrastructure changes necessary? Has the Board of Regents (unsalaried per diem) been replaced by a private contractor hired by the NYSED? Is Depersonalization an objective or consequence? Patience, persistence. What? How? Who? Respect and Courtesy!

Follow the news. Hillary had to be helped up the stairs to a private jet a few days ago. On Tuesday, Hillary had to cancel, can you believe it, a fundraiser! There’s something seriously wrong with Hillary and the lame stream media will not expose it. Then her accolades said she would rest up for a few days for the debates – but don’t worry Marxists, Obama will step in to campaign for Hillary. Will Hillary ever be physically and mentally stable to stand up during the debates? Maybe they will give her a chair. Time will tell.

It’s a disgrace that the Owego Town Board refuses to address the Supervisor’s indiscretions, both monetarily and legally. Maybe we should contact the comptroller and he will.

Hillary complains about Trump but is now using his exact words regarding the vetting process. Can’t she come up with her own ideas? She is no leader, she’s a copycat.

In answer to the person having problems using his sleep machine, I’d like to offer some advice. I have had three different sleep machines and suggested masks. None of them are consistent. One was damaging the heart muscles, the other was putting too much air into the intestines and stomach, and the other was spewing air out over the face while “sleeping”. I highly recommend that you insist that your doctor put you in contact with a specialist. We have paid a lot of money for these devices and may have stumbled onto a solution for us. We had to combine the middle machine with the first and third mask, which we frequently replace. Please don’t hesitate to ask for help. I hope this helps you.

Look out America. It was noted this morning that Hillary has had a person named Huma Abedin as her key advisor. Ms. Abedin’s name has been noted on the emails, which Hillary has been sending and has sent. Abedin has strong family ties to terrorist people. She and Hillary have been strongly connected for quite a while. This leaves me to think that Hillary would promote this “advisor” to the Secretary of State. Please, Citizens, brothers and sisters, friends vote.

Will Hillary or nobama go to Charlotte to tell the writers to knock it off? Don’t count on it. Hillary and nobama’s legacy is to ruin the U.S. Economy, to permit class and race welfare, to decimate the military, to politicize the FBI, Supreme Court and U.S. Attorney General and they have nearly succeeded. Hillary, if she is mentally and physically able, wants to carry on the nobama tradition, to transfer the U.S. into a perpetual state of chaos. The video in Charlotte will prove the perpetrator was armed. We know absolutely that “hands up don’t shoot” never happened. Wake up America.

Are you telling me there are 60 million Americans that are Ku Klux? If I were you I would take that sign in front of my house down. I would be embarrassed to show that to somebody. Even if I was going to vote that way, I would be embarrassed.

Illegal immigrants are now fleeing the Georgia school system because they have been denied entry. Do they realize they’re not even supposed to be in this country? Yes, Obama and Hillary, let more of them in. Go figure, you can’t make this stuff up.

Did you miss Sarah Palin and her big mouth? The poor girl did slip and fall and hurt her head, and you know something? There may be something good to that story. She may be coming out with a lower mouth like Donald Trump’s and some real good ideas. Who knows.

I have a painful corn on my foot. Does anyone have an old fashion remedy for it? What my doctor recommended is not working.

Correction, my number is 657-2635. My close friend had a baby two months ago and found out her baby is allergic to the plastic diapers. I would like to know if anybody has any cloth diapers to get rid of. I would be more than willing to pick them up. Let me know and I’ll come and get them or make an arrangement.

The American people have spoken. Donald J. Trump is the GOP candidate and the Democrats don’t like it. Their cushy lives are in jeopardy. Won’t it be wonderful to have Milania Trump as our First Lady? She is well versed, educated and classy. We haven’t had that sort of class since Jackie Kennedy.

The Democratic Party of old is long gone. They are now considered far left Socialists interested in money and power only for themselves. That is why they love their Hillary. Just look at how well Wall Street continues to do. We have a very misguided White House administration who truly believes it is acceptable to lie to the American people and make deals with foreign countries under the cloak of darkness. We’ve been sold out.

It is incredible how this person builds a self-image surrounded in a bubble of falsehood, lies, and misstatements. This guy is unfit to be president. He is unstable. He is unreliable. He is unpredictable. Imagine his hands on the nuclear button. Use your common sense, vote for Hillary Clinton.

I love America and I and my family. We’re willing to die for it and we proved it like many other American Patriots and Veterans. Most of us are immigrants of the past and made America the great place it is today. My father was a WWII hero, my brother was a Vietnam War hero, my grandfathers and uncles served in WWI and WWII and I served in the United States Marine Corp. We all accepted American values and laws and helped to form America like many of you. Don’t let American down. Don’t let others change it to feed their own greed and devises. If you cannot accept the American way as a Patriot and supporter, and pledge allegiance to only America, then get out! We Americans spilled a lot of blood to keep our comfort, religion and lifestyles. We will not change or be changed unless we want to. Vote for Donald Trump because he is a leader and the future of America depends on it.

Nobama taking credit for $2.00 gasoline is like Satan taking credit for the sainthood of Mother Theresa. Both nobama and Hillary want to destroy the petroleum and coal industries and have said so. These to be replaced by mythical solar, wind, and some say magic fuel, all of which supply about 5 percent of our energy needs. The United States has enough oil and coal to last over 1,000 years. Two-dollar gasoline is a product of mainly fracking, plain and simple, and to a smaller extent propane and ethanol. We need to make our supplies present and safe. In 100 years or less the United States will have a controlled thermo nuclear hydrogen fusion supply of energy, which will give us near infinite supply. Wake up America, vote Trump.

I called last week regarding the fact that apparently is available to collect the absorbent school taxes for the Owego Apalachin School district at their new administration building and complaining about the cost involved mailing receipts. Oops, sorry, after reading my bill further, I see they are not even doing that. If you want a receipt you need to go to a website and have your receipt printed. So, what if you don’t have a computer, or internet or a printer? Can someone explain what the staff are doing that they can’t accept the payments and stamp your receipt paid? I would call and ask but they are probably too busy to answer the phone.

Last week’s caller stated that under Obamanomics gas is cheap and we have a five percent unemployment rate. Gas is cheap because of the oil pricing wars, over production and worldwide competition, and it wasn’t planned. Also, 12 of the United States have more people out of work than working and New York State is one of them. I’m sure that adds up to more than five percent, folks! You also stated that you want four more years of Obama. Why? He’s had eight years already, hasn’t he caused enough problems? Save America, vote Trump.

I’m not too familiar with this deal. What is this? Spectrum drilling for the gas line, Spectrum is taking over Time Warner Cable. Who is Spectrum and what is Spectrum? Please, give us some answers on this deal. We’re not really sure.

A new White House reports says 80 percent of illegals are caught at the border, but the truth is only 50 percent are actually being caught. The report will not be released to the public until after the November election. I wonder why that is. Probably just more lies for Obama, Bill and Hillary. What a trio.

A couple weeks ago you ran a picture about the groundbreaking down at Tioga Downs for the new hotel and I happened to notice Broome County Executive Debbie Preston was in the picture. Has she suddenly taken over as Tioga County Executive too? For the life of me I do not know why she was invited to the groundbreaking. She has nothing to do with Tioga County. Can somebody explain this to me?

I will be glad when we vote in November and all these so called political experts with their vulgar comments on both candidates go away. Maybe they can comment on more every day issues.

I was just kind of wondering, after that ridiculous thing at the Hickories Park, what Mr. Castellucci is up to next. It could be that garage that he wants to build. Boy that would be a dandy.

Here is what’s happening in America under President Obama. We are trillions in debt, social security is near broke, and so is Medicare. Seniors have not gotten a COLA raise for many years. More blacks and poor are out of work and black on black crimes are up 40 percent or more, especially in Chicago. Policemen are being executed and the president blames the police. We have more terrorist attacks than ever. Millions of un-vetted refugees flow into our country daily. Obamacare is costing way more than projected, is very complicated and you can’t keep your own doctor as promised. We had one government shutdown and many near shutdowns. Illegal executive orders were completed without congressional approval. Secret Iran cash payoffs took place and guns were given to Mexico and ended up in the hands of foreign terrorists. There are many more soldier suicides than ever, military bases have been closed, their manpower reduced and our stock piles of missiles and ammunition are dangerously low. There is much civil unrest and hate, and political rallies have become a war zone. Lack of respect for the flag, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem and Patriotism is at a high. President Obama vetoed the 9/11 bill so American families cannot sue terrorist countries. He also pardoned Hillary and her cronies for their so-called email mistakes. He campaigns for Hillary Clinton while he should be working to improve America. He offended Americans by apologizing to other countries for what our patriotic soldiers did to protect America and over sovereign way, and he called the American people lazy in another speech. Obama and the Democrats have failed America and Hillary Clinton will give us more of the same and worse. Vote for Trump, the future of America depends on it.

Now that the first Clinton / Trump debate is over, Donald was not successful in his efforts to bully Hillary Clinton, candidate for the most important job in the world. Will he ever learn to stop attacking women? Use common sense, vote for Hillary Clinton for president.

There are no Hillary accomplishments so her campaign ads do nothing but bash Trump. If he attacked her as she attacked him in the debate it would be all over the tabloids today. He took the high road. Good job Donald!

Just think, with President Trump people will have jobs, be more safe, secure in their own country, families will now be able to go a ball game, movies, or have money to spend on family outings. Hopefully we can all get used to it. Sometimes change can be hard.

Somebody has been calling my number and they don’t wait for my answering machine to come on. I know that if it were something important they’d wait. I guess with them calling me it’s not anything important.

Well the American public got to see the real Donald Trump last night. A Trump that doesn’t pay Federal income tax, he’s bragging how much money he makes yet he pays no income tax. No wonder he wants to cut the corporate tax base, it’s because he doesn’t pay any taxes. What a joker he is. He wants to run for president and he cheats the tax system by loopholes? If he’s not paying his taxes are we going to start paying that money too? Every time he opened his mouth last night he lied. He’s just a compulsive liar and he’s got young people brainwashed. Trump’s a liar.

Hillary Clinton was the best liar at the debate, no question. She has no shame and can get away with anything. Her economic recovery plan is pitiful and the same old bull we have been handed for too many years by the Democrats with no results. She even said “trickle down”, like Obama used to say, however Hillary does have a good plan to get Isis out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Hillary will just relocate them to the United States. Save America, vote for Trump.

To the person who took my shell wind chime off my porch and broke it – I want to know, was it that important that you get it? I don’t understand. Why don’t you get a job, get your own money and buy your own shell wind chime? I have to get by, I don’t understand.

After the first debate, which candidate looks best for America’s president? Hillary Clinton, your face was glowing, your speech was flowing, but your ignorance was showing. Your proposed solutions were redundant and dare I say, ho hum. They have been proposed, tried and failed in the past. America needs better. Indeed, you skirted real solutions to the worst of America’s problems. You were arrogant, shallow, and excelled as always at the art of cover up. Donald Trump, you were passionate, direct and insightful. Your concern for the State of our Union showed. The solutions you proposed were clear, sensible and feasible and you spoke like you were not going to lie down and let America fester and decline under the same old policies. You were confident, head on and spoke with a patriotic heart. Donald Trump won this debate. He can steer America to prosperity and security. Hillary Clinton plans to drive straight through the potholes, leave them to get deeper, and smile and wave at the passersby on her way to the next money making venture.

Thank you Donald Trump for going into the snake pit and fighting for your ideas and America’s future. I will respectfully pull the lever on voting day for you and so will millions of us who are sick of the bull crap the Democrats have fed us. I know you will do better than Hillary ever could because you are passionate and care about America and Hillary obviously doesn’t. Go Trump! The future of America depends on you.

So, did you watch the debate? Donald didn’t even have a hanky to wipe his snotty nose and blamed it on the microphone. That’s what I call one smart cheap dude with lots of money.

Follow the news. People like Donald Trump because he brags, he tells it like it is. In the debate he told it like it is, he pays no income tax – saying he’s smart. What do you think of telling it like that?

To last week’s caller, I’m asking they explain Trump’s attack on the Reverend in Michigan. I watched that but didn’t see any attack. He treated her cordially. If she was not happy with his conduct why didn’t she throw him off the stage? I need clarification.

So what if Obama is a faithful husband and displays elegance under pressure. What pressure? He just does as he pleases. He has even defended Kaepernick’s National Anthem’s protest. He will be remembered as the worst President ever, even behind Buchanan. Yeah, he really cared. Who’s left to pay for Obamacare, food stamps, Medicaid and housing? Get a grip! Where do you find gas about $2.00? I only see it well above $2.00. Clinton led the cause for the United States pulling out of Iraq. Isis came in, and both she and Obama are to blame for the Isis growth. That is one devastating fact and last week’s caller wants four more years? You’ve got to kidding? Now I am truly convinced there are just too many rose colored glasses walking around out there.

Did anyone else notice the enthusiasm gap in the Clinton campaign? A thousand, only one thousand people show up at Hillary’s rallies while ten thousand show up for Trump rallies.

Hillary wants women treated equally but she needs to be able to stand up to Trump. In the presidential race she is a candidate. Gender goes out the window; she can’t have it both ways. Now there are campaign ads showing Katy Perry and Madonna going naked on TV to urge people to vote for Clinton. How low can Hillary go? She is certainly not someone I want my children looking up to.

I can’t believe last week’s caller will miss Obama. That means they will also miss Isis, terror, and bombings in the United States, murders on the rise in the United States, not being safe to walk down your street, and the rise of terrorists throughout the world. Go figure, I struggle with that one.

I would like to say thank you to the lady that helped me out at the laundry mat. She really made my spirits soar that day because I was really down in the dumps. It really helped me a lot to know there are people that will help people. Thank you so much and I appreciate it, God bless!

Democrats, you pop up and patronize Hillary Clinton for her lies and crooked ways and you put Donald Trump down for telling the truth about the Clintons and the state of our country. Vote for Donald Trump, he isn’t politically correct or corrupt and that’s why I’m voting for him.

While Bernie Sanders is campaigning for Hillary, I agree with last week’s caller. Why wasn’t Hillary campaigning on her own as Donald Trump is? She looks like a bobble head sitting on a stool as Bernie speaks. What a comical sight!

Trump needs to ignore Clinton’s name calling. It’s a desperate measure. She can’t attack his content so she goes after him with names. It’s obvious her campaign is in big trouble and she realizes it. Trump will sure win in November and she’s realizing it.

I am so glad the grate in front of CVS on Main Street in Owego will finally be repaired.

Why do the presidential candidates have to be so politically correct and not say anything bad about anyone? That’s nonsense! You have to be tough, outspoken, and you might have to step on someone’s feet. Too bad; Obama is meek, weak, mentally and physically, so politically correct other countries have no respect for him or our country because he has no backbone. Nice guys finish last.
