Artist Meet and Greet at the Coburn Free Library

Berkshire Free Library awarded grant

On Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m., local artist Catherine Montgomery will open her exhibit of fairy-tale illustrations at the Coburn Free Library, located at 275 Main St. in Owego. Montgomery wants to encourage coloring fans of all ages to meet her and see her artwork.

Since her drawings are line art augmented by vibrant hues, she will bring black and white copies of her artwork for visitors to color either at the library or at home, and provide markers to use at the library. The event is free, no registration is required, and light refreshments will be served.

Catherine Montgomery studied art at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, and lives with her husband and two children in Spencer. Her exhibition, which will remain at the Coburn Free Library throughout October, is made possible by a grant from the NYSCA’s Decentralization program, administered by the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
