On Wednesday, June 1, at the Newark Valley High School Annual Awards night, the Tioga United Way was beaming with pride as one of their board members, Anna D’Arcy, was recognized over and over again.

D’Arcy has served the Tioga United Way since 2014 and took the lead on the Floor Hockey Tournament fundraiser between Owego Free Academy and Newark Valley High School (raising over $500). Some of the awards D’Arcy received include Friends of Rachel Service Award, Student Council Outstanding Leadership Award, Senior Athlete, Outstanding Senior Female Scholar Athlete, Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation Scholarship and the William H. Stimming Memorial Scholarship.

The Tioga United Way would like to thank Anna D’Arcy for her service to the organization and to the people of Tioga County. A special thanks is given to Sherrill Ward, student council advisor, and Superintendent Ryan Dougherty for guiding this outstanding student.

The Tioga United Way supports 30 partner agencies throughout Tioga County.
