Guthrie welcomes new system Chief Nursing Officer

Catherine “Kate” Mohr, DNP.

Guthrie is pleased to welcome Catherine “Kate” Mohr, DNP, as its new system-wide Chief Nursing Officer. Mohr now oversees nursing at all four Guthrie hospitals and the Guthrie Medical Group.

Paul VerValin, Guthrie chief operating officer said, “We are very glad to welcome Kate to our senior management team in this new position. She brings with her significant leadership experience and has already begun to share her ideas and plans for the role. Nursing is an integral part of the care we provide, and having a single point of leadership for nursing strategy and development will be critical for our success as Guthrie continues to grow and enhance its patient experience.”

Mohr received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle in New York and a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing. She has also completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and is certified in Advanced Nursing Administration from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She joins Guthrie from the Children’s Hospital at Providence/Women’s Services for Providence Health and Services in Alaska.
