Woodshed Prophets will perform at Concerts in the Park on July 27.
The Tioga Arts Council is pleased to announce the line-up for the 2016 Concerts in the Park. This series of six free Wednesday night concerts takes place at Hickories Park in Owego and is presented by the Tioga Arts Council.
The following bands will be performing this summer: June 29 – The Kirby Band (fireworks at 9:30) – genre: concert band; July 6 – Wreckless Marci – genre: modern rock; July 13 – Pasty White & Double Wide – genre: rock; July 20 – Mike Davis and The Laughing Buddha Episodes – genre: blues/funk; July 27 – Woodshed Prophets – genre: rock/country; and Aug. 3 – Triple Play with Alice Detrick – genre: country.
The Kirby Band, based in Nichols, N.Y., will kick off the season on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The remaining concerts will take place on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m.
Each concert is free, however donations are welcome. Raffles will be held at each concert to benefit the Tioga Arts Council. Hickories Park is located at 359 Hickories Park Rd. in Owego, N.Y. Concerts in the Park are made possible, in part, through generous funding from the Town of Owego.
The Tioga Arts Council is open Monday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tioga Arts Council is located at 179 Front St. in Owego.
