‘Strawberry Peace’ is theme for this year’s festival

Plans are taking shape for this year’s Owego Strawberry Festival. Themed “Strawberry Peace”, the event will take place with the annual Block Party on Friday from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., and the main festival on June 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wear your tie-dye and peace signs, and celebrate “Strawberry Peace”.

Both events will offer fun, food, music, crafts, activities for children, and so much more.

On Friday evening, the 5K run will take place, there will be four bands performing throughout the evening, and the fireworks will cap off the event at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, the day kicks off with the annual parade at 10 a.m. There will be crafts, entertainment, live music, bicycle stunt shows, food, and so much more.

The festival is located in downtown Owego, with Saturday parking and busing provided from Hickories Park and the Tioga County Fairgrounds.
