OLL News Brief for the week of May 15, 2016

Former Owego Little League (OLL) VP-Baseball Chris Rieg announces the third Pitch Hit and Run will take place Sunday morning, May 15 at Hyde Park. This is a completely free event for boys and girls ages seven to 14.

Registration beings at 9:45 a.m. and the Pitch Hit and Run starts at 10 a.m. Players are encouraged to pre-register at pitchhitrun.com. There will also be registration forms at Hyde Park on Sunday morning.

Rieg reminds the OLL family that last year Sarah Terry won her Sectional event and advanced to the Regional’s at Yankee Stadium.

Tournament Director Eric Hawkins announces revised dates for the annual Owego 2016 Baseball Tournament at Hyde Park as follows: 12U from Monday, June 27 through Sunday, July 10, with no games on Monday, July 4; and 10U from Monday, July 11 through Sunday, July 24.

Owego Little League is proud to join Owego Free Academy in congratulating 1997 graduate Michelle Burrell, named America East Softball Coach of the Year. As seventh year as Head Coach of the Binghamton University Softball Team, her Bearcats recently won their first ever America East regular season title.
