Local community invited to Ovarian Cancer benefit event including vendor fair and dinner

A vendor fair and dinner to benefit a local woman battling Ovarian Cancer will be held Saturday, May 7, at the Kalurah Shriners Center, 625 Dickson St., Endicott. More than 30 vendors and crafters will have exhibit tables at the center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A chicken and biscuits dinner provided by Kim’s Diner from Bostwick Auctions in Candor will follow from 4 to 8 p.m., with a bake sale, door prizes, 50/50, gift basket raffles, and a silent auction.

Net proceeds from this event will benefit Joann Risalek, a woman from Endicott who is being treated for Ovarian Cancer. She has incurred significant expenses due to treatments at medical facilities outside of this region.

Admission to the vendor fair is free and tickets for the dinner are $5 if purchased in advance ($6 at the door). Tickets can be purchased at Gamba’s Auto, 532 North St., Endicott, or by calling Ashley Gamba at (607) 372-4706 or Sarah Hall at (607) 972-7076. Anyone interested in donating raffle items should call Sarah at the aforementioned number.
