Planting Pinwheels for prevention

Planting Pinwheels for prevention

Young members of the community helped plant in 2015.

Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Tioga Family Development Program invites the community to join in planting the annual Pinwheel Garden in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The pinwheel is a symbol of the happy and healthy childhoods all children deserve. This is achieved through the combined efforts of community members, organizations, and businesses to support the health and wellbeing of families and children.

The pinwheel planting will take place on Friday, April 1 at noon in the Master Gardener demonstration garden at 56 Main St., Owego. All ages welcome. Refreshments will be provided.

Pinwheels are provided by Prevent Child Abuse NY. Donations can be made to Family Resource
