Vendors wanted for the Berkshire Blueberries and Books Festival

Plans are in the works for the 2nd Annual Berkshire Blueberries and Books Festival planned for July 23. The festival began last year as a library fundraiser, and has grown into a town-wide event.

This year, the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until 10 a.m. The Berkshire Fire Department will have a Chicken BBQ starting at 11 a.m. and will serve until it is gone. Music is planned at the gazebo and in the Community Hall, and there will be games for children and other family fun and, of course, a Blueberry Bake-off to benefit the Helping Hands Food Pantry.

Reserve your vendor space for Saturday, July 23 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. A 10×10 vendor space on the library lawn may be reserved for a $10 donation to benefit the Berkshire Free Library.

For information, call Sandy Negus at 657-8272 or stop in the library for an application form. Space is limited, so please send your reply, with your check, to the Berkshire Free Library, P.O. Box 151, Berkshire N.Y. 13736 by March 1, 2016.

If your organization would like to participate with an activity, contact Karen McNally at 657-8558 or come to a planning meeting at the library at 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
