Susquehanna Valley Audubon Society to meet on February 16

The Susquehanna Valley Audubon Society will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at the Page Manor, 502 Church St., Athens, Pa.

At 7:30 p.m., Michael Kuriga, master falconer from Williamsport, will be the guest speaker. He will present a program, “Raptors and Man, a Four thousand Year Relationship”.

He will bring his Goshawk and share his love for raptors with the audience. The program will present photos from his recent trip to Hungary to fly raptors there.

The meeting will start with a dish to pass supper at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. there is a short business meeting with wildlife sightings and reports about what people had at their feeders during the Great Backyard Bird Count from Feb. 12 through Feb. 15.
