Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center teams traveled to Utica for their first competition for 2016. This is the 30th year of the Leatherstocking Invitational competition.

In the level 2 grouping, Kaylin Twedt placed 2nd on vault with a 9.00 and 9th on beam with an 8.70. Dayne Starkweather placed 8th on floor with an 8.75 and McKenzie Donnelly placed 8th on beam with an 8.85 and 7th on floor with an 8.75. Mary Divers was 5th on vault with an 8.7 and 4th on beam with a 9.15. The level 2 team placed 3rd as a team.

In the level 3 grouping, Aubree Wenner placed 1st on vault with a 9.35, 7th on bars with an 8.00, 6th on beam with a 8.30, 6th on floor with an 8.95 and 6th in the All around with 34.60. Carsten Crawford had a 9.00 on vault for 4th place, 8.175 on bars for 4th place, 8.5 on beam for 5th place, 1st on floor with a 9.40 and 3rd All around with 35.075.

Kaelyn Katchuk placed 6th on vault with an 8.85, and 6th on floor with an 8.95 and 7th All around with 33.95. Lauren Cropp placed 2nd on vault with a 9.30, 6th on bars with an 8.00, 2nd on beam with an 8.90, 1st on floor with 9.55 and 3rd All around with 35.75.

Lexi Cheeseman placed 7th on vault with an 8.85, 6th on bars with an 8.15 and 8th on floor with an 8.525. Madison Cron placed 7th on vault with an 8.80, 2nd on bars with an 8.30, 6th on beam with an 8.25 and 7th All around with 33.50.

Their last level 3 competitor was Mira Kittle. She placed 2nd on vault with an 8.90, 5th on bars with an 8.15, 6th on floor with an 8.80 and 5th All around with 34.60. The level 3 team placed 3rd as a team.

In the level 5 division, Addison Aman placed 10th on vault with an 8.925 while Audra Mieczkowski was 5th on bars with an 8.60 and 12th on beam with an 8.90. Hannah Hayes placed 15 on beam with an 8.70 and Mariah Nichols placed 10 on vault with an 8.925 and 12th on bars with an 8.20.

Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center’s next competition will be at the I Love NY Cup, Jan. 30 and 31 at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena, Binghamton, N.Y.

Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center is a not-for-profit organization located at 748 State Route 38 in Owego. The Center also offers recreational gymnastics programs, Zumba, Turbo Fit, Tae Kwon do, field trips, dance, cheerleading and more.
