Archie C. Nixon, 75.
Archie C. Nixon, 75, a well-known life long resident and farmer in Richford, N.Y. passed away on Jan. 3, 2016 following a long illness. Archie is survived by his sisters Donna Hoyt of Richford and Ruth (Alfred) Crider of Austin, Texas, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, and caregivers Barbara and John Keener and family.
Born on March 22, 1940 in Richford, he was a son of Albert E. and Dorothy (Hutchings) Nixon. Archie graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1961 and worked on the family farm in Richford for many years. Archie was also employed by Ward and VanScoy and Howland Brothers. Archie was a good man!
Friends were invited to a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home on Jan. 6. A funeral service followed, officiated by Rev. James T. Willard. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Richford.
