The Owego Police Department arrested Denise M. LaBarron, 47, of Owego, N.Y. on Jan. 19, 2016 for Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony.

During a two month Criminal Investigation into an alleged embezzlement of funds, which was reported by the Homer C. Gow and Son’s Company of Owego where Denise M. LaBarron was employed as the Office Manager.

The investigation revealed that Denise M. LaBarron had stolen in excess of $70,000.00 from the company between 2009 and 2015.

Denise M. LaBarron turned herself into Police and was charged with the crime.

Denise M. LaBarron is scheduled to re-appear in the Village of Owego Court on Feb. 2, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to her charge.

Investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
