The Owego Apalachin Foundation For Excellence in Education will host its annual Wine and Beer Tasting Event and Silent Auction on Friday, Jan. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event will be held at The Owego Treadway Inn and will feature music by Tom Westcott and Ultra Vibe. Refreshments will be provided by area restaurants and caterers.
Tickets can be purchased at Lawler’s Liquor Store, Scott Smith and Son, The Wine Connection and The Kitchen Store. Advanced tickets are $40 per couple, $25 per person, or at the door for $50 per couple, $35 per person. The cost is $10 for a Designated Driver ticket.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization that every year awards scholarships to graduating Owego Free Academy (OFA) seniors to further their education. The Foundation also provides grants to innovative education programs that benefit children in the area. Since it was founded, it has given back over $150,000 to the community.
