Twelfth annual lighting of the Hospice trees to take place

The 12th annual lighting of lights on the Hospice trees located in front of the Tioga Central School, located at the corner of Maple Avenue at Route 17C will take place at 5 p.m. and at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, at the corner of South Main and Roki in Nichols at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5.

Area Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will be assisting with the lighting of the trees, and afterwards the Scouts, along with their friends and families, will go caroling around the Village of Nichols.

Hospice is an organization that cares for individuals who are terminally ill, either in their own homes or at a hospital if they are unable to return to their homes. The hospice lights are in memory of relatives and friends and will remain lighted throughout the holidays.
