“The Promise of Light”, a Christmas Cantata, will be presented by a combined choir of singers from the churches of the Newark Valley area. The cantata will be directed by Jewel Griffith and accompanied by Brenda Yeier and Ann Lowdermilk.
This free musical celebration will take place on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Newark Valley United Methodist Church. Original music is blended with traditional Christmas carols and songs that will tell the timeless story of the birth of Christ, the Light of the World.
If inclement weather causes cancellation, the Cantata will be held on the following Saturday, Dec. 19 at the same time and location.
