Owego’s Art Walk to take place November 6

On Friday, Nov. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m., visit historic Owego for the 1st Friday Art Walk. The Art Walk Passport may be hibernating while the snow flies, but you’ll still find plenty of live music, art and antique treasures, great people, and good food.

Carol’s Coffee & Art Bar will feature a performance by guitarist Gregg Neff, with paintings on display by Lexi and Ellie Lavin and Carol Livermore.

The Black Cat Gallery will feature works by four new artist members, plus the wonderful music of Rob Seigers and Company.

Ashley Vanfossen creates beautiful works of nature in oils and mixed medium, combining birch and pine trees with geometric shapes that balance one another.

Amy Miles draws charming animals that will capture your heart. These little mice and mushroom drawings reflect a story and are perfect for a children’s room.

Aaron Bennett works with pen and ink; influenced by nature, he illustrates whimsical and pensive animal drawings.

Connie Kovac details her work in pen and ink, amazingly precise, strong and expressive, in a mode of expressing what is often silenced.

Katie’s Kreations is featuring the work of Lisa Harvey Orend, photographs “From near and far”, uncovering the beauty of the forgotten and the faded. Katie’s Kreations will also have a demonstration of glass Christmas ornaments that will be painted with a new technique that Timothy Jackson, a.k.a. Tim’s Junk Art, has been working on.
