Extended hours offered for Absentee ballots for General Election

During the two weeks prior to the General Election, the Tioga County Board of Elections will be open additional hours for absentee voting. Absentee applications and ballots will be available for voters that are unable to go to the polls on the day of the election.

Dates and times are Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 31 fro 9 a.m. to noon.

Absentee ballot applications are available daily during business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or the application may be printed from the Board of Elections page on the county website, www.tiogacountyny.com.

Students who will be away at college may apply annually for an absentee ballot. Those with permanent health concerns may apply to be put on a permanent absentee ballot mailing list.
