Salvation Army recently made a generous donation to nine Tioga County food pantries to help them buy food.
Catholic Charities food pantry was one of the recipients and stated, “This comes at a really great time – just in time to help them cope with the increased numbers of people coming for food.”
For different reasons, many people are coming to the pantry for the first time. The Salvation Army’s donation is extremely important in a region where one in five children is food insecure.
Area pantries are grateful for this collaboration.
