Last week’s threat of storms cancelled the Bike Night event planned for Wednesday, although things did clear up later in the evening. The event apologizes to all who were planning to attend, but since cancellations are called by 3 p.m., the weather forecast is the only tool available, and is not always correct.
This Wednesday, however, will feature String of Pearls for a 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. performance under the white tent at Bike Night at Owego’s Parkview Hotel and Restaurant located on Front Street in Owego, N.Y.
String Of Pearls is a regional Blues/Rock band packed with experience and passion. Pearl Reed-Klein, who performs under her Native American name – “Singing SkyWolf”, fronts the band.
Pearl’s powerhouse vocals and crowd-pleasing stage performances have titled her “The Southern Tiers Queen of the Blues”. Combined with the outstanding musicianship and vocal harmonies of Eric Porter, Ed Michaels and Jimmy Kolet, it’s obvious at every performance this band truly loves what they do.
Band members include Pearl Singing SkyWolf/Vocals, Piano, Guitar, Harmonica; Eric Porter/Guitar, Vocals; Ed Michaels/ Percussions, Harmonica, Vocals; and Jimmy Kolet/ Bass, Vocals.
String of Pearls will be performing at Bike Night on Aug. 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
