Lourdes announces new Board Chairperson

Lourdes Hospital has named Dr. Mark Tinklepaugh as Lourdes Hospital Board Chair. Dr. Tinklepaugh will assume his new role effective immediately.

“Dr. Tinklepaugh is an accomplished physician with extensive experience and is committed to our Mission,” said Kathryn Connerton, Lourdes president and CEO.  “He has been a member of the Lourdes Board of Directors since 2009, Vice Chair since 2012 and the Chairman of Board Quality Improvement Committee for the past six years. We look forward to the vision and continued leadership that Dr. Tinklepaugh will bring to our hospital.”

Dr. Tinklepaugh is a board certified anesthesiologist and Partner at Riverside Associates in Anesthesiology, P.C. He has been an anesthesiologist there since 1991 and has also served as President there. He has also held the position of Medical Director of the Lourdes Anesthesiology Department.

Dr. Tinklepaugh added, “Lourdes has an engaged board whose members offer diverse perspectives and valuable expertise. I am confident Lourdes is well positioned to meet future challenges in an ever changing healthcare environment. “

Dr. Tinklepaugh holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College and Master’s from Binghamton University. He received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and his MBA from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Tinklepaugh is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership, American Society of Anesthesiologists, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists and the Broome County Medical Society.
