Come out on Saturday, Aug. 8 and enjoy a 5K run through the picturesque streets of Newark Valley. A kids’ run will begin at 4 p.m. and the 5K Run begins at 5 p.m. T-shirts will be available for the first 60 registrants.
Registration fee is $25. The cost for the Kids’ mile is $15.
The starting point is the Trout Ponds Park in Newark Valley, N.Y. The race will start and end at the park. The race is run with traffic and has been certified by USA Track & Field.
Pre-registered packets and race day registration will be on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. for the 5K and 3 to 4 p.m. for the Kids’ Mile in the large pavilion at the Trout Ponds. No registration or pick up after 5:15 p.m.
Awards for top overall male and female finisher, top finisher for each male / female age group will be awarded. Prizes will also be awarded for the Kids’ Mile. Snacks and water will be offered to runners post-race.
Dogs are absolutely forbidden and those observing poor manners towards motorists or not obeying the traffic marshals will be disqualified. Jogging strollers are allowed. There are no refunds for cancellations.
Proceeds will benefit Newark Valley Days and future activities for the Village of Newark Valley and the Newark Valley Athletic Booster Club.
