The Exhibition Room at Gallery Forty-One in Owego will host a trio of guest artists for their August show – Joan Silvestri-Pencek, Barbara Shope and Janice Wood.

The show will focus on capturing the audience’s attention so they will enjoy the beauty that nature provides. Art without nature is impossible because nature is everywhere in art – from the literal to the abstract inspiration provided by the textures, colors and sounds of the natural world have been captured in art for centuries.

The Exhibition Room show, “Capturing Nature’s Beauty Through Art”, will lift your spirit and stoke your admiration of natures beauty. The show runs Aug. 5-31.

In conjunction with the Historic Owego Marketplace First Friday ArtWalk, the public is invited to meet each of the guest artists, as well a many of the Gallery Forty-One member artists during the opening reception on Friday, Aug. 7 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Special musical guest harpist Meredith Kohn Bocek will be on-hand. Playing the harp has been a lifelong endeavor for Meredith. Her repertoire includes Celtic, South American, Baroque, light classical and folk music as well as contemporary ballads.

A wide range of new, original, affordable fine art and one-of-a-kind handcrafted works are always the focus of the shop located on 41 Lake St. in Owego. Gallery hours are Monday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the first and third Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
