Seventeen teams are competing for the second week in bracket play on Hyde Park’s four diamonds in the 12U Owego Little League (OLL) Tournament. Four games are played each weeknight at 6 p.m. and four on Saturday – two each at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Tourney Co-Director Eric Hawkins says the teams signed up to play are

Division C – eight teams – Union Endicott, Maine Endwell, Binghamton East, Vestal, Newark Valley, Chenango Forks, Apalachin and Susquehanna Valley.

Division B – seven teams – Vestal Green, Northern-Tioga, Union Endicott, Vestal-Howard, Mark Twain-Elmira, Owego and Waverly.

Division A – two teams – West Elmira and Vestal.

Members of the OLL family are encouraged by OLL President Ken Winters to come to Hyde Park any night or on Saturday and ask tournament officials what they can do to help.

The 20th Annual Tournament continues with 13 teams currently registered for 10U competition from Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, July 26.

Signed up to play so far are Ithaca, Maine Endwell (two teams), Vestal (three teams), Union Endicott, Owego, Maine Endwell Blue, Candor, Maine Endwell Gold, Nichols-Tioga and Chenango Valley. Registration deadline is July 15.
