The Owego Lions Club recently held their annual Pancake Breakfast at the Countryside Community Center in Owego, N.Y. This year the proceeds were earmarked for Camp Ahwaga.

Camp Ahwaga is an educational and recreational program that provides services to children with disabilities in Tioga County, New York. It’s a six-week program held during the summer months with staff to ensure the children maintain consistency in their education.

Valerie Ellis-Hillary, board member of Camp Ahwaga, attended the Lions meeting to give a talk about the camp and its programs. President Phyllis Ludwig presented their guest, Valerie Ellis-Hillary, with a $500 check for Camp Ahwaga to help with their service to the children of Tioga County.

Also that evening they drew the winners of the Spring Basket Fundraiser.
