Candor Historical Society to host Eva Mae Musgrave as guest speaker

The Candor Historical Society’s guest speaker at the April 29 meeting will be Eva Mae Musgrave. Her talk will focus on the historic aspects of The Edge of Thyme B&B at 6 Main St. in Candor, and will include the history of the home from the original owners to present.

Originally built in 1860, this site once belonged to the Canfield’s as a summer home; Rosa Murphy Canfield was the Executive Secretary to John D. Rockefeller. In 2010, The Edge of Thyme was designated the Best Rural Bed and Breakfast in the World, and The Best Tea Room in the World, by Pamela Lanier of Lanier B&B Travel Guide, the foremost B&B spokesperson in the world.

The talk is free and open to the public, and is scheduled for April 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Candor Town Hall on Rt. 96B in Candor. Refreshments will be served.
