Girls Scout cookies will soon be available at a location near you. On Saturday, April 11, Girl Scout Troop #40925 will be selling delicious cookies directly to the community.

The booth will be set up in the Rite Aid parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Central Avenue and open for sales from 9 a.m. to noon. The annual cookie sale raises funds for troop activities, trips and service projects throughout the year, so please consider stopping by and showing your support for local scouting.

The girls in Troop #40925 are currently working towards their Bronze Award, which is the highest honor that Junior Scouts can earn. They must plan and complete a community service project that requires at least 20 hours of work. The troop is painting a mural in the Church Commons and will also refurbish a small garden bed once spring finally arrives.

If you haven’t yet heard, 2015 is the 40th anniversary of Samoa cookies. The troop will have these and all the other popular flavors available at their booth. New this year is an oatmeal raisin cookie.

Cookies are priced at four dollars a box and can be purchase with cash or check. Customers are invited to preorder cookies if they would like to ensure their favorite flavors will be available. The girls will package your order and have them ready for pick up during the booth hours.

If you would like to take advantage of this service, email your name, cookie order, and phone number to troop40925@yahoo.com by April 8.
