The Vestal Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is expanding its workforce and adding over 100 professional, paraprofessional and service employees. The health care center is hiring for all positions as it re-establishes its full operation in a newly constructed, enhanced senior care campus at 105 Sheedy Rd., Vestal.
A job fair is being held for prospective employees to have an opportunity to meet the health center’s representative, learn more about its career opportunities and complete employment applications. The job fair will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at the India Cultural Center, 1595 Route 26, Vestal. This location gives attendees an opportunity to view the new health center, which is directly across the street. Since the flood of September 2011, Vestal Park has been operating out of two temporary locations with a reduced workforce. The newly constructed, state of the art multi-level campus on Sheedy Road will be opening in June 2015 and will include housing 160 Skilled Nursing Facility residents including a designated short stay rehabilitation care, designated memory care, a new Assisted Living Program as well as an Adult Day Health Care Program.
Denise Johnson, administrator, stated, “The 2011 flood caused us to relocate our residents and layoff many long-term, dedicated staff members. We are very excited about our new luxurious home and looking forward to its grand opening. Being able to offer more jobs and additional levels of care to our community is the silver lining in what was once a dark storm cloud”.
The health care center is actively recruiting, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, PCAs, housekeepers, laundry, housekeeping, dietary aide workers, recreation leader, receptionists, and an Adult Day Care Director. Full time and part time positions are available.
