Pedestrian killed in Sayre accident

imagesA pedestrian was pronounced dead after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday in Sayre, the Bradford County coroner said.
The pedestrian, 45-year-old Joseph Pica of the Sayre area, was transported from the scene of the accident to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman said.
Pica was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:36 a.m. Sunday, the coroner said.
Pica died of injuries that he received in the accident, the coroner added..
A 20-year-old male was driving the vehicle that struck Pica, Carman confirmed. The coroner said he did not have the name at hand of the person who was driving the vehicle.
No further information was available from the Sayre Police Department, as of late Sunday night.
