New art and live music at Black Cat Gallery

During February’s Art Walk, on Friday, Feb. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m., the Black Cat will host the music of the Triton Trio, pictured.

The Black Cat Gallery welcomes in 2015 with new work by more than 40 artists, and with festive events planned for the winter. February’s featured artist is the talented metal worker, Paula Leab.

Paula gained an appreciation for art and crafts from her mom, Joyce Stewart, another Black Cat artist. Paula hand fabricates her jewelry, using traditional metal smithing techniques. She loves to pound metal and torch new pieces of silver into creative designs. Her artistic style and jewelry creations change all of the time, making her jewelry a perfect one of a kind gift.

February’s Art Walk, on Friday, Feb. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m., the Black Cat will have the music of the Triton Trio. The “Triton Trio” is the combination of the husband-wife duet Tom and Marie on guitar and bass, and banjo wizard R. J. Siegers.

Tom and Marie play acoustic covers of popular music from the 60’s and 70’s and R. J. is versatile and original on the 5-string banjo. Together the Triton Trio put outs a sound that is sure to delight and entertain. Enjoy a casual evening out, listen to the music, and take in some beautiful art.
