On Thursday, Stray Haven Humane Society’s Humane Officer, Cindy Webster, seized a five-year-old black lab from a residence in Newark Valley, N.Y. that has a severe tumor on its head, and was living in horrible conditions on a chain outdoors. According to Webster, the dog was tied up and its feet were barely able to reach the ground.

The dog, named Parrot, was immediately removed from the property, and Stray Haven is now in need of funds to provide medical attention. To enable this, a fundraiser has been set up at http://www.gofundme.com/kr27as for those who wish to donate.

For those without access to the Internet, donations can be made to Stray Haven, c/o Parrot, 194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, N.Y. 14892. You can also call Stray Haven at (607) 565-2859 for more information.

Webster added that charges are forthcoming in this case, but in the meantime Parrot is in desperate need of medical attention, and any contributions would be appreciated.
