Annual NRA Banquet moves to new location

Committee member Ralph Knapp presents a rifle to Cliff Packard at the 2014 NRA Banquet.

The Friends of the NRA have moved their Annual Banquet, which was usually held at the Ulster Firehouse, to the Alparon Park Exhibit Hall at the Troy Fairgrounds. At this site, there will be more room in the buildings and plenty of parking.

The banquet will be held on May 16, 2015. As usual, the doors will open at 4 p.m., with the meal served at 6:30 p.m. Banquet tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for youth. Members of the committee are selling banquet tickets, gun raffle tickets, and special table tickets that include eight banquet tickets with the assurance that someone at the table will win a gun.

Be sure to mark May 16, 2015 on the calendar and then contact a committee member to purchase your tickets. If you wait until the last minute, the tickets could be sold out. By buying a ticket, you will be supporting the NRA and also many gun clubs and youth programs within the state.
