A New Hope Center to offer Volunteer Hotline training

Volunteers at A New Hope Center are needed to staff the 24-hour crisis hotline, to provide support, counseling, and crisis intervention services. The center will be offering classes beginning on Monday, Jan. 26, to qualify volunteers for this service.

Upon completion of the classes, volunteers are eligible to receive NYS DOH Rape Crisis Counselor certification, and are able to provide assistance from their home.

Classes are scheduled to begin Monday, Jan. 26 and will run once a week for ten (10) weeks. Classes will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at their offices on 20 Church St. in Owego.
