George J. Stuhlmiller, Jr., 81.

George J. Stuhlmiller, Jr., 81 of Carson City, Nevada, passed away on Oct. 25, 2014 in Reno, Nevada due to complications from an accidental fall. Born on Sept. 14, 1933 in Hancock, N.Y., George was the son of the late George and Anna (Kraus) Stuhlmiller.

He was predeceased by his 10-year old son, Derek James. George is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Stuhlmiller (Lance Schlotterbeck) and son, Kristopher (Nikky) Stuhlmiller; his grandchildren: Kenny, Jr., Taralee, Timothy twins, Savannah and Logan, Orion Birdsell, Isaac and Aiden Stuhlmiller; his sister, Emilie and brother Robert Stuhlmiller of Richford, his loving companion of ten years, Cynthia McConnell, several nieces, nephews, cousins and the mother of his children, Thelma (Phillips) Therialt.

George was a graduate of Newark Valley High School, class of 1951. As a young man, he drove truck and worked on the family dairy farm in Richford. In his spare time he was able to build his own home, also in Richford and race stock cars on a dirt track in his #82 car with a hand-painted ‘Snoopy’ on the car door panel.

He later resided with his family in Los Angeles, Calif. prior to establishing their home in Carson City, Nevada where he was employed as a general contractor and plumber for 33 years.

George was an avid reader of Louis L’Amour books, enjoyed watching TV, John Wayne western movies, NASCAR Racing, football games, gardening and ‘puttering’ in his garage.
