Greater Binghamton REALTORS® host Team Trivia event to benefit Owego boy

The Greater Binghamton Association of REALTORS® will host a Team Trivia event on Nov. 8 to benefit a 5-year old Owego boy Robbie, who suffers from VATERS Syndrome. VATERS consists of five separate birth defects, and 16 out of 100,000 children in the U.S. have one or more of these defects.

Robbie, however, is one of only five children in the U.S. who has all five defects, and the costs of his treatments are enormous. The proceeds of this Team Trivia event will go directly to fund the care, support, and surgeries Robbie needs to live a normal, adult life.

Said Sandi Stebelton, chair of the REALTOR® Community Service Committee, “Sometimes, a situation comes along that you just can’t ignore. Robbie is a courageous and engaging kid, and he and his family need as much help as they can get to make sure he gets the care he requires.  That’s what strong communities do – they rally around those in need. We hope that people in our area will come out and join us for a night of fun, food and service to a worthy cause.”

The Team Trivia Event for Robbie will be held at the Kalurah Shrine at 625 Dickson St. in Endicott on Nov. 8. Dinner will start at 5:00 p.m., and Trivia will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Trivia and Music will be provided by Rich Birdsall of 98.1 The Hawk, and dinner will be catered by Terra Cotta.
