The Village of Owego leaf pick up will be with the vacuum-shredder. Leaves should be placed on the berm, not in the street where they will be driven over and clog the drainage system.
Leaf pick up by the vacuum-shredder will be on Mondays and other days if needed. Bagged leaves will be picked up, but are discouraged since they take more time to pick up and empty. Bags will not be distributed by the village.
The leaf compost pile on Water St closest to the river is two years old and is now available for residents to take for mulch or compost.
