On Saturday, Sept. 20, the third annual Jerry Hills Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at The Links at Hiawatha Landing on Marshland Road in Apalachin, N.Y. with registration at 11 a.m., and a shotgun start at noon. The format is Captain and Crew.
Jerry Hills passed away in March 2001 after a battle with Melanoma Skin Cancer. Family and friends decided to host an annual golf tournament in his memory to benefit his favorite charity, Mom’s House.
The tournament has grown every year, with its success attributed to the volunteers, sponsors, donors and golfers.
The cost is $90 per player, and $360 per team. A steak and chicken dinner will be served.
There will also be contests such as Hole in One, Men and Women’s Closest to the Pin; Men and Women’s Closest Longest Drive; and Skins Game.
