Guthrie to Hold Post Concussion Support Group Sept. 21

Guthrie will hold a free Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room located on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Sayre office at One Guthrie Drive in Sayre, Pa.

Guest speakers at September’s meeting are Annie Wainwright and her mom, Renee Wainwright.  Annie is a senior at Tioga Central High School and member of the Girls’ Soccer team that has a history of concussions, Second Impact Syndrome, she will discuss her experiences and her recovery from Post-Concussion Syndrome.

The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
