On Thursday, Nov. 1, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Tina Lounsbury, senior caseworker/RN, was named Employee of the Third Quarter 2017.

In a press release, DSS stated, “Tina is an outstanding worker and representative for Tioga County DSS.”

Her work load consists of clients in various program areas including Adult Protective Services, Family Type Home for Adults coordinator, as well as coordinator for the various personal and home health care services for Medicaid recipients. She works with many outside agencies, and serves on many committees such as the Office for Aging Advisory Council, Adult SPOA, Long Term Care council and several others.

During this past quarter, and on top of a busy caseload, Lounsbury recently covered the Adult Protective Services Unit as the Unit Supervisor. According to DSS, her focus was on ensuring clients were safe and the caseworkers she was supervising had what they needed to get their jobs done.

DSS described their selection Lounsbury for the recognition, stating, “Tina is an asset to the Adult and Adolescent Services Unit and the Department of Social Services. She is a very worthy recipient of this recognition. Congratulations to Tina.”

  1. Hi Tina. U probably don’t remember me. I am Tim’s cousin. I am in an assisted living facility now in Binghamton…THE GARDEN HOUSE. Yeah, bottom of the line but that was the only place that had an opening when I needed a place to go. I have my own room which I pay $2300 monthly for, food and transportation to appointments r supposed to be included but generally we have to find our own transportation.Good is included but went way down hill with the “under new management”
It was good here when I first got here 14 months ago but it is under new management and I would honestly not recommend this place to anyone. There r a lot of lame, lazy, sick, and crazy here.
